The module you’re playing is designed as a sandbox where player direction determines what happens next. It has a great open campaign feel, but it also comes with risks. There is no “track”, no “rails” that ensures a planned difficulty progression to keep everything within the limits of the party’s abilities.
Random encounters are true to the region’s wild reputation. Some locations may be impossible to overcome at the beginning, while others will seem weak later on. This was done by design. I will of course tweak to keep things interesting, but I won’t take the self-direction and risks/rewards away from the players. I am sure you will know better than running straight to the module’s final boss fight at level 1… ;)
